Baby Welcome – a celebration of life’s surprises…

As much as we like to plan every possible moment of our lives, life has a way of shaking things up every once in a while. And in some cases, it brings about the most wonderful gifts and showcases the beauty of humanity. So when Sifiso contacted our team with their story of surprise, we knew this was the perfect opportunity for a Posh event.
A baby welcome?
Sifiso and Thabisile’s little one surprised them with an early arrival. So early in fact, that there was no opportunity for a baby shower. Sifiso called on the Posh team to assist in surprising Thabisile with a gorgeous celebration – a baby welcome as he lovingly called it. The perfect way to celebrate mom and baby, and a heart-warming gesture.

On a glorious day in December, the team set to work to transform this Umhlanga residence. Our objective was to convey the love and pride that sparkled in Sifiso’s eyes when speaking of his family. To create a posh occasion which celebrated love, new life and family.
There is nothing better than sitting around a table while sharing a meal and happy memories with family. Stunning arrangements of fresh flowers adorned the table along with playful elements to tie in a baby-shower feel. The sweetest yellow and blue baby booties paired with mini carousels added a soft, sweet touch. While gleaming glassware and mirror vases added a simple elegance to the pale blue and yellow hues of the linen and flowers.
No event is a Posh event without personalized details, which means each guest received a custom-made, themed biscuit. Flowers surrounded the table on plinths, showcasing the baby’s name. A custom-designed sign welcome guests to the celebration.
Good food, good friends, good times!
Guests were treated to a mouth-watering display of delicious canapes. Dessert was served in the form of a yummy assortment of cakes & bakes, displayed on a custom designed sweetie station.
Finally, no surprise would be complete without capturing the reactions and emotions, Stephen Railton photography was on hand to capture these special moments, for Sifiso and Thabisile to treasure for years to come.
We are glad to report that Sifiso and Thabisile enjoyed Christmas with their little one at home, and are healthy and happy. A successful Posh event and such a treasured memory for the Posh team.
